#11 (Week 5) Web 2.0 from awards list & Ning

I have looked through the awards lists a few times, several days in between, to discover that I had already looked at the things I thought might be interesting. YourMinis was a site I looked at twice but I had to go to wikipedia to find out what a widget is... so was not impressed. I took a quick look at Google Apps, but didn't see any uses for an elementary library run by a tech. So I decided I would re-visit my account with Delicious which I set up after last year's CSLA conference and a Web 2.0 session presented by Allison ? I think it would be very useful to have my bookmarks available from home and work computers, not that I have put it to much use :}

I signed up for Ning and joined Library Technicians United last week and Teacher Librarian Ning tonight. And my brain is feeling stretched to the max, so good night!

The mind is a good thing to stretch. I hope delicious works for you at school - blocked at mine. Widgets can add fun to a web page so don't discount them entirely.

Good to see you've signed up for a few key nings. I just set one up for my far-flung family. Wonder if a Ning for your elementary school library would be a good way to engage teachers? Once you set up a ning, you then invite people you want to join -- invite the teachers and see who respond. :)

Enjoy!
